After my career at DHL/Exel, I really wanted to find a job where I could continue translating real-life business needs into requirements for supporting ICT systems. That’s how Solventure and I crossed paths, which was the start of almost 15 years of collaboration (that’s including my later role as Director Academy, of course). My personal professional growth during that journey is very much in parallel with the growth of Solventure as a company. I have been able to support that growth in many ways, mainly as a S&OP Implementation Consultant managing projects and software configurations for global and local companies within different industries. But also, through many other temporary roles that someone had to pick up during those start-up phases, like managing a part of the internal IT management, or coaching younger colleagues. Whichever way you look at it, at Solventure I had many opportunities to expand my professional experience, in supply chain management, in IT, and in soft skills.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
» Help customers achieve supply chain improvements that generate value
» Implement supply chain planning software solutions, mainly Arkieva
» Manage project timelines, documents and budgets
» Support internal process improvements, like knowledge sharing and coaching
» Manage IT infrastructure and licensing
» Represent Solventure at conferences and business fairs
ILLUSTRATIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS
» Implementation of inventory optimization models including multi-echelon calculations for an automotive company with an extended distribution network, resulting in major savings in inventory costs
» Implementation of rough-cut capacity planning models to replace homebred Excel solutions, at a manufacturer of private label personal care and cleaning products, resulting in higher but more importantly faster and accurate visibility on the mid- to long-term capacity requirements
» Support of a demand planner function in a company producing specialty chemicals, on a basis of coaching and gradual iterative implementation of improvements in the planning tool, bringing high value and sharing expertise in a low-cost way
» Implementation of a full-blown S&OP suite covering multi-site demand and production planning in a distributed network of a manufacturer in the electronics industry, including extended scenario building capacities
» Support in master thesis on forecast process and accuracy improvements, which won the PICS/VIB prize
